TEAM Industries is a total solutions provider in drivetrain product design applications; we take power and put it to work on the ground, quietly and efficiently. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop outsourcing partner with capabilities that include R & D, design, engineering, rapid prototyping, testing, vertically integrated manufacturing, and assembly. We continue our single source solution with added corporate departments such as our commodity management and sales department. We are a proven OEM supplier offering drivetrain solutions in the recreational vehicle, off-road, agricultural and turf care markets.
Our History
The Beginning
TEAM was the dream of founder Don Ricke and his wife, Beatrice. In 1967, Don and Bea started Motek Engineering & Manufacturing in Cambridge, MN, within a 5,000 sq ft facility. The name has since been changed to TEAM Industries. Today, over 1,200 employees operate from 8 facilities with over 1,000,000 + sq ft of manufacturing and office space.
Over 50 years later, TEAM is still a family-owned business and remains the largest, non-captive provider of design solutions in the market we serve. In addition, we offer our manufacturing capacity across a large variety of markets as a “make to print” contract manufacturer.

TEAM Foundation
TEAM Industries’ founder, Don Ricke, had a depth of compassion that he projected through helping those in need. His sincere belief in providing goodness for others spilled over into his professional endeavors. Shortly after TEAM’s first plant was opened, we began donating funds to our local communities. Some of our earliest donations were to help support technology in small rural Minnesota schools that were near our facilities. Don believed our greatest assets were our people and wanted to ensure that youth in our rural areas had the same advantages as those in larger communities. He also had a desire to improve upon health care technology in rural areas as well as provide funding for local charities that helped the most vulnerable, such as senior nutrition programs.
As a result of Don’s vision, TEAM Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit, was incorporated to carry on Don’s wishes of helping to build our communities through goodwill. Today, TEAM Foundation continues his dream of benevolence by helping to fund local school technology needs, youth robotic teams, health care technology, senior nutrition programs, volunteer fire departments, ambulance services, local youth programs and much more. We pride ourselves on helping those with the most needs such as our youth and our seniors.
As our mission states, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life through charitable funding within rural Minnesota by the promotion of education, health care and community.
